दुर्गा पंचरत्नम्
Durga Pancharatnam — a five-verse hymn to Goddess Durga composed by Chandrashekharendra Saraswati, the 68th Acharya of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, weaving in language from the Shvetashvatara Upanishad. Recited for protection, strength, and the removal of fear and obstacles.
दुर्गा पंचरत्नम् — कांची कामकोटि पीठम् के 68वें आचार्य चन्द्रशेखरेन्द्र सरस्वती द्वारा रचित माँ दुर्गा की पाँच श्लोकों की स्तुति, जिसमें श्वेताश्वतर उपनिषद् की भाषा का प्रयोग किया गया है। रक्षा, बल और भय-नाश के लिए पढ़ी जाती है।
ते ध्यानयोगानुगता अपश्यन् त्वामेव देवीं स्वगुणैर्निगूढाम्। त्वमेव शक्तिः परमेश्वरस्य मां पाहि सर्वेश्वरि मोक्षदात्रि॥१॥
te dhyānayogānugatā apaśyan tvāmeva devīṃ svaguṇairnigūḍhām | tvameva śaktiḥ parameśvarasya māṃ pāhi sarveśvari mokṣadātri ||1||
ध्यानयोग में स्थित ऋषियों ने आपको ही देखा, जो अपने गुणों से आवृत देवी हैं। आप ही परमेश्वर की शक्ति हैं। हे सर्वेश्वरी, मोक्षदात्री, मेरी रक्षा करें।
Sages absorbed in meditation and yoga beheld You alone as the Goddess, hidden within Your own qualities; You alone are the power of the Supreme Lord. Protect me, O sovereign Goddess, giver of liberation.
देवात्मशक्तिः श्रुतिवाक्यगीता महर्षिलोकस्य पुरः प्रसन्ना। गुहा परं व्योम सतः प्रतिष्ठा मां पाहि सर्वेश्वरि मोक्षदात्रि॥२॥
devātmaśaktiḥ śrutivākyagītā maharṣilokasya puraḥ prasannā | guhā paraṃ vyoma sataḥ pratiṣṭhā māṃ pāhi sarveśvari mokṣadātri ||2||
आप देवात्मशक्ति हैं, श्रुति-वाक्यों में गाई गई, महर्षियों के सामने प्रसन्न, हृदय-गुहा, परम व्योम और सत्य की प्रतिष्ठा हैं। हे मोक्षदात्री, मेरी रक्षा करें।
You are the divine Self-power sung of in the words of the scriptures, gracious before the assembly of great sages, the cave of the heart, the supreme space, the foundation of Being itself. Protect me, O sovereign Goddess, giver of liberation.
परास्य शक्तिः विविधैव श्रूयसे श्वेताश्ववाक्योदितदेवि दुर्गे। स्वाभाविकी ज्ञानबलक्रिया ते मां पाहि सर्वेश्वरि मोक्षदात्रि॥३॥
parāsya śaktiḥ vividhaiva śrūyase śvetāśvavākyoditadevi durge | svābhāvikī jñānabalakriyā te māṃ pāhi sarveśvari mokṣadātri ||3||
हे दुर्गे, श्वेताश्वतर उपनिषद् के वचनों में वर्णित देवी, आपकी परा शक्ति विविध रूपों में सुनी जाती है; आपका ज्ञान, बल और क्रिया स्वाभाविक हैं। हे सर्वेश्वरी, मोक्षदात्री, मेरी रक्षा करें।
Your supreme power is proclaimed in many forms, O Goddess Durga celebrated in the words of the Shvetashvatara [Upanishad]; Your knowledge, strength, and action are Your own inherent nature. Protect me, O sovereign Goddess, giver of liberation.
देवात्मशब्देन शिवात्मभूता यत्कूर्मवायव्यवचोविवृत्या। त्वं पाशविच्छेदकरी प्रसिद्धा मां पाहि सर्वेश्वरि मोक्षदात्रि॥४॥
devātmaśabdena śivātmabhūtā yatkūrmavāyavyavacovivṛtyā | tvaṃ pāśavicchedakarī prasiddhā māṃ pāhi sarveśvari mokṣadātri ||4||
देवात्मशब्द से शिवात्मभूता, कूर्म और वायव्य साधना के वचनों से प्रकट, आप पाशविच्छेदकरी के रूप में प्रसिद्ध हैं। हे मोक्षदात्री, मेरी रक्षा करें।
Known by the name of the divine Self-power belonging to Shiva, revealed through the teaching on the Kurma and Vayavya disciplines, You are renowned as the one who severs the bonds of worldly attachment. Protect me, O sovereign Goddess, giver of liberation.
त्वं ब्रह्मपुच्छा विविधा मयूरी ब्रह्मप्रतिष्ठास्युपदिष्टगीता। ज्ञानस्वरूपात्मतयाखिलानां मां पाहि सर्वेश्वरि मोक्षदात्रि॥५॥
tvaṃ brahmapucchā vividhā mayūrī brahmapratiṣṭhāsyupadiṣṭagītā | jñānasvarūpātmatayākhilānāṃ māṃ pāhi sarveśvari mokṣadātri ||5||
आप ब्रह्मपुच्छा, विविधरूपा मयूरी हैं; ब्रह्मप्रतिष्ठा के रूप में उपदिष्ट, समस्त वस्तुओं में ज्ञानस्वरूपात्मिका हैं। हे मोक्षदात्री, मेरी रक्षा करें।
You are the many-hued peacock, the manifold display at Brahman's tail-plumage, taught as the very foundation of Brahman, the true nature of knowledge in all things. Protect me, O sovereign Goddess, giver of liberation.
