मत्ता - जो दैवीय मस्ती में हैं, अपने अस्तित्व का वह परमानन्द, परम परिपूर्णता का वह स्वाभाविक उन्माद जिसे किसी बाहरी पदार्थ की आवश्यकता नहीं

सूफी परम्परा की 'दैवीय मदिरा' और भक्ति परम्परा के 'प्रेम-मत्त' (प्रेम में मतवाले) दोनों उस की ओर इंगित करते हैं जिसे मत्ता नामित करती है: दैवीय के साथ मिलन का स्वाभाविक परमानन्द।

ॐChant when the practice has reached the point where ecstasy is its natural quality. Mattā names the goddess's own state - not a drug-induced or stimulated intoxication but the natural ecstasy of one who is fully established in their own divine nature. The goddess is drunk on her own being.
