छान्दोग्य उपनिषद् में सत्यकाम जाबालि की कथा प्रसिद्ध है — जिसने सत्य बोलकर गुरु का हृदय जीता। सत्यकाम भगवान वे हैं जिनकी हर इच्छा सत्य से प्रेरित होती है। जब IAS परीक्षा में ईमानदारी से पास हों, जब बिज़नेस में बिना धोखे के सफलता मिले, वह सत्यकाम का फल है।
