ईशान कोण (उत्तर-पूर्व) और सभी दिशाओं के शासक

ईशान भारतीय वास्तु में सबसे शुभ कोण (उत्तर-पूर्व) का नाम है। पूजा-घर ईशान कोण में रखा जाता है। ईशान शिव का भी एक रूप है (पंचमुख शिव में एक मुख)। ईशान भगवान विष्णु वो शासक हैं जो सबसे शुभ दिशा से शासन करते हैं। जब कोई नया घर बनाता है, तो ईशान कोण में जल-स्रोत रखने की सलाह दी जाती है क्योंकि वो भगवान की दिशा है।
