सुदर्शन कवच
Sudarshana Kavach -- the protective armour of the Sudarshana Chakra, Lord Vishnu's radiant discus, as taught by sage Narada in the Bhrigu Samhita. Recited as a powerful shield against negativity, malefic influences, and obstacles.
सुदर्शन कवच -- भगवान विष्णु के तेजस्वी चक्र सुदर्शन का रक्षा-कवच, जो भृगुसंहिता में नारद मुनि द्वारा बताया गया है। नकारात्मकता, ग्रह-पीड़ा और विघ्नों के विरुद्ध शक्तिशाली कवच के रूप में पढ़ा जाता है।
प्रसीद भगवन् ब्रह्मन् सर्वमन्त्रज्ञ नारद। सौदर्शनं तु कवचं पवित्रं ब्रूहि तत्वतः॥१॥
prasīda bhagavan brahman sarvamantrajña nārada | saudarśanaṃ tu kavacaṃ pavitraṃ brūhi tatvataḥ ||1||
हे भगवन् ब्रह्मन्, सर्वमन्त्रज्ञ नारद, प्रसन्न होइए और पवित्र सौदर्शन कवच को यथार्थ रूप में कहिए।
Be gracious, O lord and knower of the Vedas, Narada, knower of all mantras: tell me truly of the pure Sudarshana armor.
नारद उवाच। शृणुष्वेह द्विजश्रेष्ठ पवित्रं परमाद्भुतम्। सौदर्शनं तु कवचं दृष्टादृष्टार्थसाधकम्॥२॥
nārada uvāca | śṛṇuṣveha dvijaśreṣṭha pavitraṃ paramādbhutam | saudarśanaṃ tu kavacaṃ dṛṣṭādṛṣṭārthasādhakam ||2||
नारद कहते हैं: हे द्विजश्रेष्ठ, सुनो, यह पवित्र और परम अद्भुत सौदर्शन कवच दृष्ट और अदृष्ट दोनों प्रकार के अर्थों को सिद्ध करने वाला है।
Narada replies: Listen, best of the twice-born, to this pure and most wondrous armor of Sudarshana, which accomplishes both seen and unseen goals.
कवचस्यास्य ऋषिर्ब्रह्मा छन्दोऽनुष्टुप् तथा स्मृतम्। सुदर्शनमहाविष्णुर्देवता सम्प्रचक्षते॥३॥
kavacasyāsya ṛṣirbrahmā chando'nuṣṭup tathā smṛtam | sudarśanamahāviṣṇurdevatā sampracakṣate ||3||
इस कवच के ऋषि ब्रह्मा हैं, छन्द अनुष्टुप् स्मृत है और सुदर्शन महाविष्णु इसके देवता कहे गए हैं।
The sage of this armor is Brahma, its meter is Anushtup, and Sudarshana-Mahavishnu is declared to be its deity.
ह्रां बीजं शक्तिरत्रोक्ता ह्रीं क्रों कीलकमिष्यते। शिरः सुदर्शनः पातु ललाटं चक्रनायकः॥४॥
hrāṃ bījaṃ śaktiratroktā hrīṃ kroṃ kīlakamiṣyate | śiraḥ sudarśanaḥ pātu lalāṭaṃ cakranāyakaḥ ||4||
ह्रां बीज कहा गया है, ह्रीं क्रों शक्ति और कीलक हैं; सुदर्शन मेरे सिर की और चक्रनायक ललाट की रक्षा करें।
Hram is declared the seed syllable here, Hrim and Krom the power and the pin; may Sudarshana protect my head, and the lord of the discus my forehead.
घ्राणं पातु महादैत्यरिपुरव्याद्दृशौ मम। सहस्रारः शृतिं पातु कपोलं देववल्लभः॥५॥
ghrāṇaṃ pātu mahādaityaripuravyāddṛśau mama | sahasrāraḥ śrutiṃ pātu kapolaṃ devavallabhaḥ ||5||
महादैत्यरिपु नासिका और नेत्रों की रक्षा करें; सहस्रार श्रवण की और देववल्लभ कपोलों की रक्षा करें।
May the great foe of the demons protect my nose and my eyes; may the thousand-spoked one protect my hearing, and the beloved of the gods my cheeks.
विश्वात्मा पातु मे वक्त्रं जिह्वां विद्यामयो हरिः। कण्ठं पातु महाज्वालः स्कन्धौ दिव्यायुधेश्वरः॥६॥
viśvātmā pātu me vaktraṃ jihvāṃ vidyāmayo hariḥ | kaṇṭhaṃ pātu mahājvālaḥ skandhau divyāyudheśvaraḥ ||6||
विश्वात्मा मुख की, विद्यामय हरि जिह्वा की, महाज्वाल कण्ठ की और दिव्यायुधेश्वर कंधों की रक्षा करें।
May the soul of the universe protect my face, Hari who is the embodiment of knowledge my tongue, the great flame my throat, and the lord of divine weapons my shoulders.
भुजौ मे पातु विजयी करौ कैटभनाशनः। षट्कोणसंस्थितः पातु हृदयं धाम मामकम्॥७॥
bhujau me pātu vijayī karau kaiṭabhanāśanaḥ | ṣaṭkoṇasaṃsthitaḥ pātu hṛdayaṃ dhāma māmakam ||7||
विजयी भुजाओं की, कैटभनाशन हाथों की और षट्कोणसंस्थित हृदय, मेरे धाम की रक्षा करें।
May the victorious one protect my arms, the destroyer of Kaitabha my hands, and the one abiding in the six-pointed star protect my heart, my inner abode.
मध्यं पातु महावीर्यः त्रिनेत्रो नाभिमण्डलम्। सर्वायुधमयः पातु कटिं श्रोणिं महाद्युतिः॥८॥
madhyaṃ pātu mahāvīryaḥ trinetro nābhimaṇḍalam | sarvāyudhamayaḥ pātu kaṭiṃ śroṇiṃ mahādyutiḥ ||8||
महावीर्य मध्यभाग की, त्रिनेत्र नाभिमण्डल की, सर्वायुधमय कटि की और महाद्युति श्रोणि की रक्षा करें।
May the greatly potent one protect my torso, the three-eyed one my navel region, the one composed of every weapon my waist, and the greatly radiant one my hips.
सोमसूर्याग्निनयनः ऊरू पातु च मामकौ। गुह्यं पातु महामायो जानुनी तु जगत्पतिः॥९॥
somasūryāgninayanaḥ ūrū pātu ca māmakau | guhyaṃ pātu mahāmāyo jānunī tu jagatpatiḥ ||9||
सोमसूर्याग्निनयन दोनों जांघों की, महामाय गुह्य की और जगत्पति दोनों घुटनों की रक्षा करें।
May the one whose eyes are the moon, sun and fire protect both my thighs; may the great illusion-weaver protect my private parts, and the lord of the world my knees.
जङ्घे पातु ममाजस्रं अहिर्बुध्न्यः सुपूजितः। गुल्फौ पातु विशुद्धात्मा पादौ परपुरञ्जयः॥१०॥
jaṅghe pātu mamājasraṃ ahirbudhnyaḥ supūjitaḥ | gulphau pātu viśuddhātmā pādau parapurañjayaḥ ||10||
अहिर्बुध्न्य पिंडलियों की निरन्तर, विशुद्धात्मा टखनों की और परपुरञ्जय पादों की रक्षा करें।
May the well-worshipped Ahirbudhnya protect my shins continuously; may the purest self protect my ankles, and the conqueror of enemy cities my feet.
सकलायुधसम्पूर्णो निखिलाङ्गं सुदर्शनः। य इदं कवचं दिव्यं परमानन्ददायिनम्॥११॥
sakalāyudhasampūrṇo nikhilāṅgaṃ sudarśanaḥ | ya idaṃ kavacaṃ divyaṃ paramānandadāyinam ||11||
सर्वायुधसम्पूर्ण सुदर्शन सम्पूर्ण अंग की रक्षा करें। यह दिव्य कवच पढ़ने वाले को परमानन्द देता है।
May Sudarshana, complete with every weapon, protect my whole body. This divine armor bestows supreme bliss on whoever recites it.
सौदर्शनमिदं यो वै सदा शुद्धः पठेन्नरः। तस्यार्थसिद्धिर्विपुला करस्था भवति ध्रुवम्॥१२॥
saudarśanamidaṃ yo vai sadā śuddhaḥ paṭhennaraḥ | tasyārthasiddhirvipulā karasthā bhavati dhruvam ||12||
जो सदा शुद्ध रहकर इस सौदर्शन कवच का पाठ करता है, उसकी अर्थसिद्धि निश्चय ही हाथ में स्थित के समान विपुल होती है।
Whoever, ever pure, recites this Sudarshana armor certainly gains abundant success in his goals, as if held in the palm of his hand.
कूश्माण्डचण्डभूताद्याः ये च दुष्टा ग्रहाः स्मृताः। पलायन्तेऽनिशं भीताः वर्मणोऽस्य प्रभावतः॥१३॥
kūśmāṇḍacaṇḍabhūtādyāḥ ye ca duṣṭā grahāḥ smṛtāḥ | palāyante'niśaṃ bhītāḥ varmaṇo'sya prabhāvataḥ ||13||
कूश्माण्ड, चण्ड आदि दुष्ट भूत और अशुभ ग्रह इस कवच के प्रभाव से भयभीत होकर तुरन्त भाग जाते हैं।
Kushmanda, Chanda, and other evil spirits and malefic planetary influences flee at once in fear by the power of this armor.
कुष्टापस्मारगुल्माद्याः व्याधयः कर्महेतुकाः। नश्यन्त्येतन्मन्त्रितांबुपानात् सप्तदिनावधि॥१४॥
kuṣṭāpasmāragulmādyāḥ vyādhayaḥ karmahetukāḥ | naśyantyetanmantritāmbupānāt saptadināvadhi ||14||
कुष्ठ, अपस्मार, गुल्म आदि कर्महेतुक व्याधियाँ इस मंत्र से अभिमन्त्रित जल के सात दिन तक पान से नष्ट हो जाती हैं।
Skin diseases, epilepsy, abdominal tumors and other karma-caused illnesses are destroyed within seven days by drinking water consecrated with this mantra.
अनेन मन्त्रितां मृत्स्नां तुलसीमूलसंस्थिताम्। ललाटे तिलकं कृत्वा मोहयेत् त्रिजगन्नरः। वर्मणोऽस्य प्रभावेन सर्वान्कामानवाप्नुयात्॥१५॥
anena mantritāṃ mṛtsnāṃ tulasīmūlasaṃsthitām | lalāṭe tilakaṃ kṛtvā mohayet trijagannaraḥ | varmaṇo'sya prabhāvena sarvānkāmānavāpnuyāt ||15||
इस मंत्र से अभिमन्त्रित तुलसी-मूल की मिट्टी का ललाट पर तिलक करके मनुष्य त्रिलोक को मोहित कर सकता है; इस कवच के प्रभाव से वह सब कामनाएँ प्राप्त करता है।
Applying as a tilaka on the forehead the clay from beneath a tulasi plant that has been consecrated with this mantra, a person can captivate the three worlds; by the power of this armor, one attains all rightful desires.
