Adbhutadarshana
Wonder as the final vision — the face of God is not an answer but the question of existence held without resolution, and the purest darshan is wordless astonishment that anything exists at all.

Etymology · व्युत्पत्ति
From 'adbhuta' (अद्भुत, wondrous — one of the nine rasas; astonishment before categorization) + 'darśana' (दर्शन, vision) — He whose vision is Wonder itself. The seeing produces the rasa of adbhuta: wonder beyond comprehension.
अर्थ
भयकृत् के भय, तेजोमय की दीप्ति, अनन्तरूप — बाद बचा: विस्मय। शुद्ध, भाषा-पूर्व। बच्चा बीस मिनट कीड़ा देखे। पहले मानव ने तारा देखा — शब्दहीन। अद्भुतदर्शन विश्वरूप theme बंद — भय या दीप्ति नहीं, सबसे पुरानी भावना: कुछ है, विस्मय। सवाल: शून्य की बजाय कुछ क्यों? विश्वरूप हर सवाल सिवाय इसके। विस्मय शुद्ध, बिना resolve — मनुष्य ईश्वर का चेहरा देखने के सबसे क़रीब। चेहरा जो वो हिस्सा देखे जिसने समझना छोड़ा।

भगवद्गीता (अध्याय 11, श्लोक 20) — भय से पहले: 'अद्भुत, उग्र रूप — तीनों लोक काँपते।' 'अद्भुत' 'उग्र' साथ — विस्मय और भय एक साथ। सुखद नहीं — विनाशकारी, frame से परे। नाट्यशास्त्र: आँखें चौड़ी, रोम, शरीर सीधा। अधिकतम सतर्कता। अद्भुत में — कभी से जागे। जागना बरक़रार — दर्शन। ईश्वर नरम आँखों से नहीं — असंभवता से ज़बरदस्ती खुली।

बेटी तीन घंटे। Thiruvananthapuram सरकारी hospital। पत्नी सोई। Plastic cot, 'Govt. of Kerala' sticker, हरा कपड़ा। आवाज़ — छोटी घोषणाएँ। चेहरा — लाल, दबा। और — जितनी देर माप नहीं — अद्भुत रस कच्चा: इतना विस्मय कि दिमाग़ विचार बनाना बंद। योजना, भय, अतीत, भविष्य नहीं। बस चेहरा और सवाल: नया इंसान कैसे? कल कहाँ? शून्यता से चेहरा कैसे? जवाब नहीं। कभी नहीं। सवाल ही दर्शन। विस्मय ही चेहरा। अद्भुतदर्शन। ईश्वर का दर्शन अस्तित्व का जवाब नहीं — सवाल ख़ुद, plastic cot, हरा कपड़ा, आवाज़।

Ask: why is there something rather than nothing? Do not answer. Hold the question 10 minutes like an object — feel weight, impossibility, refusal to resolve. The question is not a problem. It is a rasa. If at any point hair rises, eyes widen, a gasp — that is adbhuta. That is the face. Do not chase. It returns. Existence cannot stop being astonishing.

Chant 108 times in the voice of wonder — the register of someone saying 'how' for the first time. Use a tulsi mala. Best beside a sleeping baby, at the sea's edge, under the night sky, or any moment existence is too present to explain.
