The bliss of Brahman, the one whose joy is identical with the infinite bliss that is Brahman's own nature

ब्रह्म का आनन्द, जिनकी प्रसन्नता उस अनन्त आनन्द से अभिन्न है जो ब्रह्म की अपनी प्रकृति है

ब्रह्मानन्द दत्तात्रेय को ब्रह्मानन्द नाम देता है: वह अनन्त आनन्द जो ब्रह्म का अन्तर्निहित स्वभाव है। तैत्तिरीय उपनिषद् सिखाता है: 'आनन्द से सभी प्राणी जन्म लेते हैं; आनन्द में पोषित होते हैं; आनन्द में लौटते हैं।' ब्रह्मानन्द भी भारत में वेदान्त शिक्षकों के सबसे सामान्य नामों में से एक है। दत्तात्रेय ब्रह्मानन्द के रूप में वह स्रोत-अवस्था हैं जिसके आंशिक प्रतिबिम्ब मानव आनन्द के सभी अनुभव हैं।
