अन्तरात्मन दत्तात्रेय को अन्तरात्मा: आन्तरिक स्व नाम देता है। यह सहस्रनाम के अन्तिम दृष्टिकोण में सबसे गहरी घोषणाओं में से एक है: पूजे जाने वाले दिव्य वही है जो पूजा करने वाले की सबसे आन्तरिक आत्मा है। भारत की 'तत् त्वम् असि' परम्परा यहाँ अपनी सबसे अन्तरंग अभिव्यक्ति पाती है।
