स्वामी चिन्मयानन्द ने इस नाम को अपनी संन्यासी उपाधि के रूप में लिया, और उनके द्वारा स्थापित चिन्मय मिशन ने भारत और विश्व में लाखों लोगों तक वेदान्त पहुँचाया है। नाम का चुनाव सटीक था: वे इस समझ को मूर्त रूप देना और संचारित करना चाहते थे कि वास्तविकता अपनी गहराई में शुद्ध चेतना है। हर बच्चा जो चिन्मय बालविहार गया है, उसे इस नाम से देवी से परिचय हुआ है।
