चिन्ता विकार समकालीन भारत में सबसे प्रचलित मानसिक स्वास्थ्य स्थितियों में से हैं, सभी जनसांख्यिकी में लाखों को प्रभावित करते हैं। भयापहा के माध्यम से परम्परा जो प्रस्तावित करती है वह चिन्ताग्रस्त सामग्री का खण्डन नहीं बल्कि सम्बन्ध का अभ्यास है: भय दूर करने वाली देवी का नियमित आह्वान सुरक्षा की न्यूरोलॉजिकल स्मृति बनाता है।

Bhayāpahā does not deny that the feared thing is real; she provides the larger context in which fear cannot maintain its grip.
