निर्भय - जो कोई भय नहीं जानतीं क्योंकि वे स्वयं को उस रूप में जानती हैं जिसे धमकी नहीं दी जा सकती, जिसे कम नहीं किया जा सकता, जिसे नष्ट नहीं किया जा सकता, अनन्त सत्ता की परम सुरक्षा

निर्भया 2012 की दिल्ली सामूहिक बलात्कार मामले के बाद गहरे राष्ट्रीय महत्त्व का नाम बन गया, जब मरने वाली पीड़िता को पहचान सुरक्षित रखने के लिए प्रेस द्वारा यह नाम दिया गया। जिस देश ने उनका शोक मनाया उसने उन्हें निर्भय देवी का नाम दिया - एक सामूहिक पहचान का कार्य कि मृत्यु के सामने उनका साहस देवी की अपनी उपाधि का हकदार था।

ॐChant when fear must be faced and moved through. Nirbhayā is not the absence of the experience of fear but the freedom from being controlled by it - the fearlessness that knows itself as what cannot ultimately be harmed. This is not suppression of fear but its transcendence.
