तपस्या से प्रेम करने वाली - जो सच्चे आध्यात्मिक अभ्यास से प्रसन्न होती हैं, जो न केवल दूर से तपस को पुरस्कृत करती हैं बल्कि जो उसे प्रेम से शुरू करते हैं उनके निकट आती हैं

यह भक्ति समझ कि दिव्य निष्क्रिय नहीं बल्कि प्रतिक्रियाशील है, कि वास्तविक अभ्यास केवल साधक का देवी की ओर पहुँचना नहीं बल्कि देवी का साधक की ओर पहुँचना भी है, तपःप्रिया में व्यक्त है। भारत के महान सन्तों ने लगातार यही अनुभव रिपोर्ट किया है।

Tapaḥpriyā reverses the usual understanding of practice as a means to reach the distant goddess - she loves tapas and comes to the practitioner; the tapas is not the journey to her but the quality she recognises and responds to.
