सुरार्चिता

She who is worshipped by the gods; the goddess whose worship is performed by the divine beings themselves - making the devotee's act of worship not an upward reach toward the distant divine but a participation in what the gods themselves do

देवताओं द्वारा पूजित - जिनकी पूजा दैवीय प्राणी स्वयं करते हैं, भक्त के पूजा-कार्य को दूर के दिव्य की ओर ऊर्ध्वगामी पहुँच नहीं बल्कि उसमें भागीदारी बनाते हुए जो देवता स्वयं करते हैं

सुरार्चिता का समतावादी निहितार्थ गहरा है: जब देवता स्वयं देवी की पूजा करते हैं, तो मानव पूजक का कार्य दैवीय कार्य से कम नहीं बल्कि अलग पैमाने पर वही कार्य है। अपनी सरल घर-पूजा में दादी और भव्य पूजा करने वाले दिव्य इन्द्र एक ही काम कर रहे हैं।

ॐChant when performing worship to elevate the act: the devotee who lights a lamp and offers flowers is doing what Indra, Brahma, Vishnu, and all the celestial beings do. Human puja and divine puja are not different in kind, only in scale. Surārcitā dignifies every act of human worship.
