क्षेमकरी - जो सुरक्षा और शान्ति बनाती हैं, जो क्षेम की परिस्थितियाँ उत्पन्न करती हैं, शान्तिपूर्ण सुरक्षा की वह अवस्था, दैवीय प्रेम द्वारा संरक्षित होने से आने वाली सुरक्षा

भगवद्गीता का प्रसिद्ध श्लोक 'योगक्षेमं वहाम्यहम्' (मैं योग और क्षेम वहन करता हूँ) कृष्ण द्वारा उन लोगों को दैवीय वचन के रूप में बोला गया है जो उनके प्रति समर्पित हैं। क्षेमकरी देवी को यही वचन नामित करती है।
