सम्पूर्ण मंगल (शुभता) के देवता, शुभता का मूर्तिमान दिव्य स्वरूप

मंगल-देवता (deity of auspiciousness) हनुमान शुभता के personification हैं। हर शुभ कार्य से पहले हनुमान को याद करना इसीलिए है कि वे मंगल-देवता हैं। शादी से पहले, परीक्षा से पहले, यात्रा से पहले, surgery से पहले, हर 'शुभारम्भ' से पहले हनुमान-स्मरण इसलिए करते हैं क्योंकि वे सर्वमंगलदेवता हैं। मंगलवार का नाम 'मंगल' से है और हनुमान उस मंगल-दिन के deity हैं।
