लय (ब्रह्माण्डीय विलय, सबको अपने में समेटना) करने वाली

लय के दो अर्थ हैं: विलय (dissolution) और ताल (rhythm)। देवी दोनों करती हैं। प्रलय में सृष्टि को लय (विलीन) करती हैं, और संगीत में लय (ताल) देती हैं। तबले पर जब 'धा धिन धिन धा' बजे, वह लय है। जब ध्यान में मन शान्त हो और विचार विलीन हों, वह भी लय है। गहरी नींद भी एक दैनिक लय है।
