The root of all, the deepest mūla (root, the ground from which everything springs) of every being and every phenomenon , the universal root-ground from which all of existence grows

सबका मूल, हर प्राणी और हर घटना का सबसे गहरा मूल (जड़, वह आधार जिससे हर चीज उगती है) , वह सार्वभौमिक मूल-आधार जिससे समस्त अस्तित्व बढ़ता है

सर्वमूल (सबका मूल) शिव को समस्त अस्तित्व के सबसे गहरे मूल-आधार के रूप में नामित करता है। महानिर्वाण तंत्र की शिक्षा 'शिवः मूलं जगतः' सीधा सर्वमूल कथन है। आयुर्वेद का मूल-कारण पर जोर , लक्षणों के बजाय मूल कारण का उपचार , इसी ज्ञान को दर्शाता है।
