अनन्त, जिनका कोई अन्त नहीं, असीम और अपार

अनन्त — बिना अन्त के — यह विष्णु के सबसे प्रसिद्ध नामों में से एक है। आदिशेष को भी 'अनन्त' कहते हैं। अनन्त चतुर्दशी को भगवान अनन्त की पूजा होती है। गणित में अनन्त (∞) का चिह्न सबसे रहस्यमय है — कितना भी जोड़ो, अनन्त और बड़ा है। भगवान वही गणितीय अनन्त हैं जो हर जोड़ से परे रहते हैं।
