सबसे प्राचीन शाश्वत सत्ता, समय के आरम्भ से भी पूर्व विद्यमान

सनात इसी 'सनातन' शब्द का मूल है जिससे 'सनातन धर्म' बना है। सनातन धर्म का अर्थ है 'शाश्वत धर्म,' जो किसी ने बनाया नहीं, जो सदा से है। सनात् भगवान वो हैं जो सनातन धर्म के मूल स्रोत हैं। जब कोई पूछता है 'हिन्दू धर्म कब शुरू हुआ?' तो उत्तर है: सनातन धर्म का कोई आरम्भ नहीं, क्योंकि सनात् भगवान का कोई आरम्भ नहीं।
