जन्ममृत्युजरातिगः

He who has transcended birth, death, and old age entirely

जिन्होंने जन्म, मृत्यु और वृद्धावस्था को पूर्णतः पार कर लिया है

जन्म-मृत्यु-जरा (birth-death-old age) मनुष्य के तीन सबसे बड़े भय हैं। गीता (2.13) कहती है 'देहिनोऽस्मिन्यथा देहे कौमारं यौवनं जरा,' जैसे शरीर में बचपन, यौवन, बुढ़ापा आते हैं, वैसे ही मृत्यु के बाद नया शरीर मिलता है। जन्ममृत्युजरातिग भगवान इन तीनों से पार हैं: न जन्मते, न मरते, न बूढ़े होते। Anti-aging industry अरबों डॉलर ख़र्च करती है जरा (aging) रोकने में। भगवान ने जरा पहले ही 'पार' कर ली।
