Etymology · व्युत्पत्ति
From 'Gītā' (गीता, the Song — from 'gai', to sing) + 'ācārya' (आचार्य, teacher who teaches through conduct — from 'ā' + 'car', one who has walked the path) — The Teacher of the Gita. Not a lecturer. One who teaches by being the lesson.
अर्थ
गीता उपदेश नहीं। दो दोस्तों की बातचीत — एक की ज़िंदगी के सबसे बुरे दिन। कृष्ण गीता पहाड़ या मंदिर से नहीं देते। युद्ध-रथ की driver's seat से, उस आदमी को जो इतना काँप रहा कि धनुष न पकड़ सके। स्थान ही शिक्षा: दिव्य ज्ञान शांति में नहीं आता। संकट के बीचोबीच, तुम्हारे specific टूटने-बिंदु की भाषा बोलता। गीताचार्य कहता है: ज़रूरी शिक्षा आराम से पढ़ी किताब से नहीं आएगी। सबसे टूटे क्षण में बगल की आवाज़ से — तीर हवा में हैं और अठारह अध्याय वास्तविकता देगी।

भगवद्गीता (अध्याय 2, श्लोक 2-3) — ढहे अर्जुन से कृष्ण के पहले शब्द कोमल नहीं। चुनौती: 'यह कमज़ोरी कहाँ से? तुम्हारे अयोग्य। इस नपुंसकता में मत गिरो। खड़े हो जाओ।' अठारह अध्यायों में सांत्वना नहीं — कर्तव्य, कर्म, ज्ञान, भक्ति, मृत्यु, आत्मा, वास्तविकता की पूरी समझ पुनर्गठित। युद्धभूमि पर, समय-सीमा में। शिक्षण पद्धति: संकट की गहराई को निर्देश की गहराई से मिलाओ। सरल मत करो। सब दो, भरोसा करो संकट छाँट लेगा।
Modern Context · आज के संदर्भ में
Raipur के government school में maths teacher, Class 10 में प्रिया — fail। बुद्धि की कमी नहीं। पिता पीता, माँ दो jobs, तीन घंटे सोती। बाक़ी teachers: 'Family background.' Class के बाद रुकने कहती हो। सज़ा उम्मीद। Quadratic equations: 'मुश्किल होगा। आसान नहीं करूँगी। पर जब तक नहीं आ जाता यहाँ बैठूँगी।' पैंतालीस मिनट। ग़लत। सरल नहीं — दोहराती। अलग तरह से ग़लत — प्रगति। अंत में एक सही। मुस्कुराती नहीं। सिर हिलाती — छोटा, तीखा। अगले दिन बिना बोले रुकती। गीताचार्य सामग्री नहीं उतारता। संकट के बीच रथ खड़ा करके कहता: मुश्किल होगा। मैं यहीं हूँ।

Chant 108 times before teaching, mentoring, or having a difficult conversation where someone needs truth more than comfort. Use a tulsi mala. Voice clear and direct. Best on Thursdays or any day the teaching is hard.
