द्वैत का भंजक, जो उस प्राथमिक भ्रान्ति को विलीन करते हैं जो आत्मा को दिव्य से, ज्ञाता को ज्ञेय से और प्रेमी को प्रिय से अलग करती है

द्वैतभंजन दत्तात्रेय को द्वैत के भंजक नाम देता है। 'भंजन' (तोड़ना) जोरदार है: यह कोमल विलयन नहीं बल्कि भ्रान्ति का निर्णायक टूटना है। द्वैत अद्वैत वेदान्त के विश्लेषण में प्राथमिक भूल है: यह गलत विश्वास कि आत्मन् और ब्रह्म दो अलग-अलग वास्तविकताएँ हैं। दत्तात्रेय जीवन्त द्वैतभंजन के रूप में यह काम व्यक्तिगत मुलाकात में करते हैं।
