Protection of the World; the goddess who is herself the shield and safeguard of all existence, whose presence is the guarantee that creation will not be annihilated by its own internal forces

जगत की रक्षा स्वरूपा - जो स्वयं सम्पूर्ण अस्तित्व की ढाल और सुरक्षा हैं, जिनकी उपस्थिति इस गारण्टी है कि सृष्टि अपनी आन्तरिक शक्तियों से नष्ट नहीं होगी

जब 2020-21 में COVID-19 महामारी भारत से गुजरी और मन्दिर बन्द हुए, लाखों लोग देवी माहात्म्य के निजी पाठ और जगद्रक्षा जैसे नामों के जाप की ओर मुड़े। यह समझ कि देवी संकट से पराजित नहीं होतीं बल्कि ठीक उसी से आह्वान पाती हैं - लाखों को बनाए रखा।

ॐChant when the world itself seems under threat - in times of great natural or human-made catastrophe, war, pandemic, or mass suffering. Jagadrakṣā is the invocation that asks the goddess to be what she always is: the ultimate protection. The Devi Mahatmya is recited precisely in such times.
