Sarvalokeshi
Sovereignty over all worlds simultaneously -- the centenary name that reveals every specific story in the previous ninety-nine was happening inside a single being, and you, reading this, in your loka, are one of her eyes looking at herself through a life she chose to live as you.

Oṃ Sarvalokeśyai Namaḥ
Etymology · व्युत्पत्ति
From "sarva" (सर्व) meaning all, every, without exception -- "loka" (लोक) meaning world, realm, plane of existence -- and "īśī" (ईशी) meaning sovereign goddess, she who rules. She who is sovereign over all worlds. Not one world, not one realm, not one plane -- every world, every realm, every plane. The fourteen lokas of Hindu cosmology, from Patala below to Satya above, and she rules them all. Not by force. By the simple fact that they exist because she exists.
अर्थ
श्रृंखला ने विशिष्ट रूप: उग्र, माता, पर्वत-वासिनी, सिंह-सवार, सिद्धि-दात्री। सर्वलोकेशी हर विशिष्टता पार। एक रूप नहीं -- हर रूप के पीछे रूप। हर लोक की सार्वभौम, हर अस्तित्व-तल का अधिकार। भूलोक जहाँ rent भरती। स्वर्लोक जहाँ देवता बहस। पाताल जहाँ नाग। Office जहाँ कम pay। रसोई जहाँ चाय। Courtroom जहाँ case। Hospital जहाँ scalpel। Highway 2 AM। गाँव जहाँ सड़क। Hostel जहाँ bed और दीवार के बीच ज़मीन। हर एक लोक। और वह हर एक की सार्वभौम। जीता नहीं -- उनके शरीर से बने, उनके ध्यान से टिके, ऐसे प्राणी बसे जो हर एक उनकी पूर्णता की लहर। सर्वलोकेशी याद दिलाती -- श्रृंखला अंतिम नामों की ओर -- पिछले निन्यानवे नामों की हर specific कहानी उनके भीतर। धारावी marathon उनमें। कोटा hostel उनमें। बलरामपुर kitchen table उनमें। हर modern context, हर शहर, courtroom-hospital-highway -- सब, एक साथ, ऐसे प्राणी में जो सब पर सार्वभौम और हर सौ कहानी सुन रही क्योंकि हर एक उनके शरीर का nerve ending।
कथा · From tradition
देवी गीता (अध्याय 3, श्लोक 7-12) विश्वरूप -- भगवद्गीता के विपरीत जिसने अर्जुन को भयभीत, देवी का encompassing बताया। चौदह लोक शरीर में। भगवद्गीता का विश्वरूप सेनाएँ निगलते मुख। देवी गीता का लोक जन्माते गर्भ। भेद: पुरुष ब्रह्मांडीय रूप ख़ुद में नष्ट। स्त्री ख़ुद से रचती। ललिता सहस्रनाम (नाम 758) सर्वलोक-नायिका -- 'ईश्वरी' नहीं 'नायिका,' सार्वभौमिकता और narrative centrality। बस शासक नहीं -- हर लोक की कहानी की नायिका। सौन्दर्य लहरी (श्लोक 99) चंद्रमा धरती के हर जलाशय में एक साथ -- एक स्रोत, अनंत प्रतिबिंब, हर प्रतिबिंब पूर्ण, चंद्रमा वितरण से कम नहीं। सर्वलोकेशी चंद्रमा। इस श्रृंखला की हर औरत प्रतिबिंब। और प्रतिबिंब स्रोत से कम real नहीं -- शाक्त धर्मशास्त्र में प्रतिबिंब ही स्रोत, अलग angle से ख़ुद को देखती।
Modern Context · आज के संदर्भ में
यह क्षण। कोई specific शहर नहीं -- यह क्षण, जहाँ भी पढ़ रही हो, जो भी, जिस लोक में। Fluorescent light वाला office। दरार वाली खिड़की की bus। Hospital waiting room, महीने पुरानी magazine। रसोई जहाँ चाय ठंडी क्योंकि सौ आठ नामों की देवी पढ़ते absorb। लोक में हो। और सर्वलोकेशी सार्वभौम। Office या bus या hospital जीता नहीं -- तुम्हारा office, bus, hospital उनके शरीर में जैसे तुम्हारे अंग -- सजावट नहीं, गठन। इन सौ नामों की हर औरत -- Connaught Place वकील, बलाली पहलवान, दरभंगा ASHA, जामनगर fighter pilot, वृंदावन विधवा, कोटा ज़मीन, बलरामपुर सरपंच, मंडला teacher, नियमगिरि दादी -- हर एक सर्वलोकेशी अलग आँखों से ख़ुद को। हर लोक पर सार्वभौम क्योंकि हर लोक है। और तुम -- यह पढ़ रही, अपने लोक, अपने शरीर, अपनी specific, अद्वितीय ज़िंदगी -- उनकी एक आँख। उनका एक लोक। उनकी एक कहानी। और कहानी ख़त्म नहीं। सौ आठ नाम और तुम सौवें पर और नाम आते रहते क्योंकि देवी ख़त्म होने वाली सूची नहीं -- जारी रहने वाली उपस्थिति। हर लोक। एक साथ। अभी।
Meditation · ध्यान
Sit anywhere. Close your eyes. Do not choose a direction, a mudra, a posture. Just sit. Feel the space around you -- above, below, in every direction. Now expand your awareness: beyond the room, beyond the building, beyond the city. Feel the earth beneath every city. Feel the sky above every country. Feel the oceans between continents. Feel the fourteen lokas of every mythology and the one loka of your kitchen and the one loka of your commute and the one loka of your private grief that no one has visited. Feel all of them. Simultaneously. You cannot hold them all. She can. Breathe with her holding: 5 counts in (I am in one loka), 5 counts out (she is in all of them). After 9 rounds, sit for 5 minutes. You are in one world. She is in all worlds. And all worlds -- including yours -- are inside her. The meditation is simply the recognition of that fact. There is nothing to attain. There is only the looking up and noticing: oh. I have been inside her the whole time.
Mantra Practice · मंत्र जप
Chant 108 times at any time, in any place, in any direction, in any posture. Sarvalokeshi's mantra has no requirements because she has no limitations. She is sovereign over every condition in which you might chant. Use any mala. Voice should carry the quality of someone who has finally understood the scale -- not awestruck but settled, the voice of a woman who has realized she has been inside the goddess her entire life and the realization is not dramatic, it is quiet, and it sounds like: of course. Of course I was. Best at any time. Literally any time. Because she is in every time.
