Pandurangashtakam

mahāyogapīṭhe taṭe bhīmarathyāḥ prasannaṃ sadābhīṣṭadaṃ bhaktinамyam। praphullaṃ kalāpūrṇacāndrānanābhaṃ parabrahмaliṅgaṃ bhaje pāṇḍuraṅgam।।1।।

भीमा नदी के तट पर महान योगपीठ पर विराजमान पाण्डुरंग सदा प्रसन्न और भक्तों की अभिलाषाएं पूर्ण करने वाले हैं। उनका मुख पूर्ण चंद्रमा के समान प्रकाशमान है और भक्त उनके सामने नतमस्तक होते हैं। मैं उन पाण्डुरंग की भक्ति करता हूँ जो परब्रह्म के साक्षात स्वरूप हैं।

On the great yogic throne on the bank of the Bhima river, stands the gracious Panduranga, ever ready to grant the desires of His devotees. His radiant face shines like the full moon in all its glory, drawing devotees to bow before Him in loving surrender. I worship that Panduranga who is none other than the very form of the Supreme Brahman.

mṛṇālāyamānāṃsakaṃ cārubāhuṃ samānadvayaṃ ratnakāñcīlasantam। śivaṃ śāntamīḍyaṃ varaṃ sundarāṅgaṃ parabrahмaliṅgaṃ bhaje pāṇḍuraṅgam।।2।।

पाण्डुरंग के कंधे कमलनाल के समान सुंदर हैं और उनकी भुजाएं सुंदर आभूषणों से सुशोभित हैं। वे रत्नजड़ित करधनी से सुसज्जित हैं और उनका स्वरूप अत्यंत मनोरम है। मैं उन शांत, मंगलमय, स्तुतियोग्य और परब्रह्म स्वरूप पाण्डुरंग की भक्ति करता हूँ।

Panduranga stands with lotus-stalk-like graceful shoulders and beautiful arms resting symmetrically, adorned with a jeweled girdle that gleams with splendor. He is auspicious, supremely peaceful, worthy of all praise, and possessed of the most beautiful form. I worship that Panduranga who is the very embodiment of the Supreme Brahman.

prasannaṃ sukāntaṃ naṭatkuṇḍalābhyāṃ pарisfūrjadālolakeyūrahāram। kirīṭojjvalatkāntidivyāyatākṣaṃ parabrahмaliṅgaṃ bhaje pāṇḍuraṅgam।।3।।

पाण्डुरंग का प्रसन्न और सुंदर मुख झूलते कुंडलों से और अधिक मनोहर लगता है, और उनके बाजूबंद तथा हार दिव्य प्रकाश से चमक रहे हैं। उनका मुकुट अद्भुत कांति से जगमगाता है और उनकी आँखें विशाल और दिव्य हैं। मैं उन परब्रह्म स्वरूप पाण्डुरंग को भजता हूँ।

Panduranga's gracious countenance is beautified by gently swaying earrings, and His brilliantly shining armlets and garlands adorn His divine form. His crown blazes with ethereal radiance and His eyes are wide, deep, and divinely expansive, drawing the devotee into infinite grace. I worship that Panduranga who is the very form of the Supreme Brahman.

śriyākāntamānandakandaṃ samantāt saratkaustuбhālaṃkṛtorassthаlābham। śaraccandrabimbānanaṃ cāruhāsaṃ parabrahмaliṅgaṃ bhaje pāṇḍuraṅgam।।4।।

पाण्डुरंग माँ लक्ष्मी के प्रिय और सर्वत्र आनंद के मूल स्रोत हैं। उनके वक्षस्थल पर कौस्तुभ मणि जगमगा रही है और उनका मुख शरद ऋतु के चंद्रमा के समान निर्मल और सुंदर मुस्कान से भरा है। मैं उन परब्रह्म स्वरूप पाण्डुरंग को भजता हूँ।

Panduranga is the beloved of Goddess Lakshmi and the very root from which all bliss springs forth in every direction. His broad chest is adorned with the gleaming Kaustubha gem, and His face shines like the bright autumn moon with a beautiful, gentle smile. I worship that Panduranga who is the very form of the Supreme Brahman.

amandaṃ madāghūrṇitāmbhojanеtraṃ manohāridivyāyudhaśreṇihastam। sarojāsanaṃ sūryakoṭyugratеjaṃ parabrahмaliṅgaṃ bhaje pāṇḍuraṅgam।।5।।

पाण्डुरंग के कमल-नेत्र दिव्य आनंद में झूम रहे हैं और उनके हाथों में मनमोहक दिव्यास्त्रों की शृंखला है। वे कमल के आसन पर विराजमान हैं और करोड़ों सूर्यों के समान तेज से दीप्त हैं। मैं उन परब्रह्म स्वरूप पाण्डुरंग को भजता हूँ।

Panduranga's lotus eyes are gently swaying with divine bliss and inner intoxication, and His hands hold a captivating array of divine weapons and ornaments. He is seated upon a lotus throne and blazes with a fierce radiance equal to millions of suns. I worship that Panduranga who is the very form of the Supreme Brahman.

prabhāte'pi netraiḥ smṛtaṃ yasya pūrṇaṃ punarjanma naiva prayāti prabhāte। namasте namasте vibho pāṇḍuraṅga parabrahмaliṅgaṃ bhaje pāṇḍuraṅgam।।6।।

जो व्यक्ति प्रभात काल में अपनी आँखों से पूर्ण भाव से पाण्डुरंग का स्मरण और ध्यान करता है, वह पुनर्जन्म के चक्र से मुक्त हो जाता है। हे सर्वव्यापी पाण्डुरंग, आपको बार-बार नमन है। मैं उन परब्रह्म स्वरूप पाण्डुरंग को भजता हूँ।

Whoever, at the break of dawn, remembers Panduranga completely and fully with open and devoted eyes, is freed from the cycle of rebirth and does not return to this world of suffering. O Panduranga, O all-pervading Lord, I offer my salutations to You again and again. I worship that Panduranga who is the very form of the Supreme Brahman.

sakāmādibhaktaiḥ sadā sevitaṃ taṃ sanakādibhirdhyānayogena gamyam। munīndrairajasraṃ vicіntyāya rūpaṃ parabrahмaliṅgaṃ bhaje pāṇḍuraṅgam।।7।।

पाण्डुरंग की सेवा सकाम और निष्काम — दोनों प्रकार के भक्त करते हैं, और सनक आदि ऋषि ध्यान-योग से उन्हें प्राप्त करते हैं। मुनींद्र अनवरत उनके रूप का चिंतन करते हैं। मैं उन परब्रह्म स्वरूप पाण्डुरंग को भजता हूँ।

Panduranga is perpetually served by devotees who come with desires as well as those who come with pure surrender, and He is attainable through the yoga of deep meditation as realized by the eternal sages Sanaka and others. The greatest among sages ceaselessly contemplate His form as the highest object of meditation. I worship that Panduranga who is the very form of the Supreme Brahman.

stavaṃ pāṇḍuraṅgasya kṛtvā śaṅkareṇa paṭhedyaḥ śucirbhaktiyukto manuṣyaḥ। labheddurlaбhaṃ jñānamuktіṃ sa nіtyaṃ parabrahмaliṅgaṃ bhaje pāṇḍuraṅgam।।8।।

यह पाण्डुरंग का स्तवन आचार्य शंकर द्वारा रचित है, और जो व्यक्ति शुद्ध हृदय तथा भक्तिभाव से इसका पाठ करता है, वह दुर्लभ ज्ञान और मुक्ति को प्राप्त करता है। मैं उन परब्रह्म स्वरूप पाण्डुरंग को नित्य भजता हूँ।

This hymn of praise to Panduranga was composed by Shankara, and whoever recites it with purity of heart and sincere devotion shall attain the rarest of gifts — liberation through divine knowledge — and shall dwell eternally in that state of freedom. I worship that Panduranga who is the very form of the Supreme Brahman.
