नीलवर्ण, आकाश और गहरे सागर के अनन्त रंग में प्रकट, जो दिव्यता की सर्व-समावेशी विशालता का प्रतीक है

हिन्दू दिव्य रंग स्पेक्ट्रम में नीला अनन्त, सर्व-समावेशी और ब्रह्माण्डीय से जुड़ा है। विष्णु नीले हैं क्योंकि वे हर चीज में व्याप्त हैं। शिव का कण्ठ नीला है। कृष्ण नीले हैं। जब अय्यप्पा नीलवर्ण के रूप में प्रकट होते हैं, वे इस सम्पूर्ण नीली-दिव्य परम्परा में भाग लेते हैं।
