शुद्ध करने वाले; वह देव जिनकी प्रकृति ही शुद्धिकरण है - समारोह के माध्यम से शुद्ध करने वाले अनुष्ठानिक शोधक नहीं बल्कि वह ब्रह्माण्डीय शोधक जिनकी उपस्थिति अकेले ही उसे छूने वाली हर चीज़ को शुद्ध करती है

भारत में यह परम्परा कि गणेश के नाम का केवल उच्चारण बोलने वाले को शुद्ध करता है, पावन गणेश की जीवित अभिव्यक्ति है।
