महासेना के सेनापति, वह दिव्य सेनानायक जिनकी सेनाएँ धर्म की सेवा और लोकों की रक्षा में संयोजित ब्रह्माण्डीय शक्तियाँ हैं

महासेन (महासेना के सेनापति) शिव को परम सैन्य सेनापति के रूप में नामित करता है। महासेन की उपाधि स्कंद-कार्तिकेय की भी है (देवताओं की सेना के सेनापति), जो पहले के बैच में महासेनजानक (#286) नाम से सीधे जुड़ता है। भारत की मार्शल परंपरा में हमेशा एक गहरा आध्यात्मिक आयाम रहा है। विजयदशमी उत्सव, जो धर्म की जीत का जश्न मनाता है, महासेन के सिद्धांत का वार्षिक उत्सव है।
