भैरव आरती (जय भैरव देवा)
A devotional aarti dedicated to Shri Bhairava, the fierce protective form of Lord Shiva, revered as Kaal Bhairava, Batuk Bhairava, Kotwal of Kashi, remover of fear, guardian of thresholds, and protector of devotees.
श्री भैरव को समर्पित यह भक्तिपरक आरती भगवान शिव के उग्र रक्षक स्वरूप का वंदन करती है, जिन्हें काल भैरव, बटुक भैरव, काशी कोतवाल, भय-नाशक, द्वार-रक्षक और भक्त-पालक माना जाता है।
जय भैरव देवा, प्रभु जय भैरव देवा। जय काली और गौर देवी कृत सेवा॥
jaya bhairava devā, prabhu jaya bhairava devā. jaya kālī aura gaura devī kṛta sevā.
जय भैरव देवा, प्रभु जय भैरव देवा; जिनकी काली और गौरा देवी सेवा करती हैं।
Victory to Lord Bhairava, victory to Lord Bhairava, whom Goddesses Kali and Gauri themselves serve.
तुम्ही पाप उद्धारक दुःख सिन्धु तारक। भक्तो के सुख कारक भीषण वपु धारक॥
tumhī pāpa uddhāraka duḥkha sindhu tāraka. bhakto ke sukha kāraka bhīṣaṇa vapu dhāraka.
तुम ही पाप से उद्धार करने वाले और दुःख-सागर से तारने वाले हो; भक्तों को सुख देने वाले, भीषण शरीर धारण करने वाले।
You are the redeemer from sin, the one who carries devotees across the ocean of sorrow; the giver of happiness to devotees, though you bear a fearsome form.
वाहन श्वान विराजत कर त्रिशूल धारी। महिमा अमित तुम्हारी जय जय भयहारी॥
vāhana śvāna virājata kara triśūla dhārī. mahimā amita tumhārī jaya jaya bhayahārī.
तुम्हारा वाहन श्वान विराजमान है, तुम हाथ में त्रिशूल धारण करते हो; तुम्हारी महिमा अपार है, जय जय भयहारी!
Your vehicle, the dog, sits beside you, and you hold the trident in hand; your glory is boundless -- victory, victory to the remover of fear!
तुम बिन देवा सेवा सफल नहीं होवे। चौमुख दीपक दर्शन दुःख खोवे॥
tuma bina devā sevā saphala nahīṃ hove. caumukha dīpaka darśana duḥkha khove.
तुम्हारे बिना, हे देवा, कोई सेवा सफल नहीं होती; चौमुख दीपक के दर्शन से दुःख दूर होता है।
Without you, O Lord, no worship bears fruit; the sight of the four-faced lamp dispels sorrow.
तेल चटकी दधि मिश्रित भाषावाली तेरी। कृपा कीजिये भैरव, करिए नहीं देरी॥
tela caṭakī dadhi miśrita bhāṣāvālī terī. kṛpā kījiye bhairava, kariye nahīṃ derī.
तेल में चटकते हुए दधि-मिश्रित भोग तुम्हारी प्रशस्ति में अर्पित होते हैं; कृपा कीजिए भैरव, देर न कीजिए।
Crackling fried offerings mixed with curd are made in your praise; grant your grace, O Bhairava, do not delay.
पाँव घुँघरू बाजत अरु डमरू दम्कावत। बटुकनाथ बन बालकजन मन हरषावत॥
pāṃva ghuṅgharū bājata aru ḍamarū damakāvata. baṭuknātha bana bālakajana mana haraṣāvata.
पाँवों में घुँघरू बजते हैं और डमरू गूँजता है; बटुकनाथ रूप धारण कर तुम भक्तजनों के मन को हर्षित करते हो।
Anklet bells ring at your feet as the damaru resounds; taking the child-form of Batuknath, you delight the hearts of your devotees.
बटुकनाथ जी की आरती जो कोई नर गावे। कहे धरनी धर नर मनवांछित फल पावे॥
baṭuknātha jī kī āratī jo koī nara gāve. kahe dharanī dhara nara manavāñchita phala pāve.
बटुकनाथ जी की यह आरती जो कोई गाता है, वह मनवांछित फल पाता है, ऐसा यह समापन पंक्ति कहती है।
Whoever sings this aarti of Batuknath obtains the fruit of his heart's desire, so this closing verse declares.
