Meenakshi Pancharatnam

udyadbhānusahasrakoṭisadṝśāṃ keyūrahārojjvalāṃ bimboṣṭhīṃ smitadantapaṅktirucirāṃ pītāmbarālaṅkṝtām | viṣṇubrahmasurendrasevitapadāṃ tattvasvarūpāṃ śivāṃ mīnākṣīṃ praṇato'smi santatamahaṃ kāruṇyavārāṃnidhim ||1||

जो सहस्र कोटि उदित सूर्यों के समान हैं, केयूर और हार से देदीप्यमान हैं, जिनके अधर बिम्बफल के समान हैं, जो मुस्कान में झलकती दन्तपंक्ति से मनोहर हैं, जो पीताम्बर से अलंकृत हैं, जिनके चरणों की सेवा विष्णु, ब्रह्मा और इन्द्र करते हैं, जो तत्त्वस्वरूपा और शिवा (मंगलमयी) हैं -- उस करुणासागर मीनाक्षी को मैं निरन्तर प्रणाम करता हूँ।

I constantly bow to Meenakshi, the ocean of compassion -- she who resembles a thousand crore rising suns, who is radiant with armlets and necklaces, whose lips are red as the bimba fruit, who is lovely with a row of teeth revealed in her smile, who is adorned in yellow garments, whose feet are served by Vishnu, Brahma, and Indra, who is the very form of ultimate reality, and who is the auspicious one.

muktāhāralasatkirīṭarucirāṃ pūrṇenduvaktraprabhāṃ śiñjannūpurakiṅkiṇīmaṇidharāṃ padmaprabhābhāsurām | sarvābhīṣṭaphalapradāṃ girisutāṃ vāṇīramāsevitāṃ mīnākṣīṃ praṇato'smi santatamahaṃ kāruṇyavārāṃnidhim ||2||

जो मुक्ताहार से चमकते किरीट से मनोहर हैं, पूर्ण चन्द्र के समान मुखवाली हैं, बजते नूपुर और मणिमय किंकिणियों को धारण करती हैं, कमल की प्रभा से चमकती हैं, सभी अभीष्ट फलों की दात्री हैं, गिरिपुत्री हैं, जिनकी सेवा वाणी (सरस्वती) और रमा (लक्ष्मी) करती हैं -- उस करुणासागर मीनाक्षी को मैं निरन्तर प्रणाम करता हूँ।

I constantly bow to Meenakshi, the ocean of compassion -- lovely with a crown shining with strands of pearls, radiant-faced like the full moon, wearing anklets and small jeweled bells that jingle as she moves, shining with the radiance of a lotus, granter of every wish, daughter of the mountain, served by Saraswati and Lakshmi.

śrīvidyāṃ śivavāmabhāganilayāṃ hrīṅkāramantrojjvalāṃ śrīcakrāṅkitabindumadhyavasatiṃ śrīmatsabhānāyikām | śrīmatṣaṇmukhavighnarājajananīṃ śrīmajjaganmohinīṃ mīnākṣīṃ praṇato'smi santatamahaṃ kāruṇyavārāṃnidhim ||3||

जो श्रीविद्या स्वरूपा हैं, शिव के वामभाग में निवास करती हैं, ह्रींकार मन्त्र से देदीप्यमान हैं, श्रीचक्र के मध्यबिन्दु में वास करती हैं, सभा की श्रीमती नायिका हैं, षण्मुख स्कन्द और विघ्नराज गणेश की माता हैं, तथा जगत् को मोहित करने वाली हैं -- उस करुणासागर मीनाक्षी को मैं निरन्तर प्रणाम करता हूँ।

I constantly bow to Meenakshi, the ocean of compassion -- who is Shri Vidya herself, seated on the left side of Shiva, radiant with the syllable Hrim, dwelling at the central point of the Sri Chakra, the glorious mistress of the divine assembly, the glorious mother of six-faced Skanda and elephant-faced Ganesha, and the glorious enchantress of the universe.

śrīmatsundaranāyikāṃ bhayaharāṃ jñānapradāṃ nirmalāṃ śyāmābhāṃ kamalāsanārcitapadāṃ nārāyaṇasyānujām | vīṇāveṇumṝdaṅgavādyarasikāṃ nānāvidhāmambikāṃ mīnākṣīṃ praṇato'smi santatamahaṃ kāruṇyavārāṃnidhim ||4||

जो सुन्दरेश्वर की श्रीमती नायिका हैं, भय हरने वाली, ज्ञान देने वाली, निर्मल, श्यामवर्णा हैं, जिनके चरणों की पूजा कमलासन ब्रह्मा करते हैं, जो नारायण की अनुजा हैं, वीणा, वेणु और मृदंग के वाद्य में रसिक हैं, तथा नाना रूपों वाली अम्बिका हैं -- उस करुणासागर मीनाक्षी को मैं निरन्तर प्रणाम करता हूँ।

I constantly bow to Meenakshi, the ocean of compassion -- the glorious beloved of Sundareshwara, remover of fear, bestower of knowledge, the stainless one, of dark emerald radiance, whose feet are worshipped by lotus-seated Brahma, the younger sister of Narayana, who delights in the music of the veena, the flute, and the mridanga, the mother who takes on many forms.

nānāyogimunīndrahṝtsuvasatiṃ nānārthasiddhipradāṃ nānāpuṣpavirājitāṅghriyugalāṃ nārāyaṇenārcitām | nādabrahmamayīṃ parātparatarāṃ nānārthatattvātmikāṃ mīnākṣīṃ praṇato'smi santatamahaṃ kāruṇyavārāṃnidhim ||5||

जो अनेक योगियों और मुनीन्द्रों के हृदय में भलीभाँति निवास करती हैं, नाना अर्थों की सिद्धि देने वाली हैं, नाना पुष्पों से सुशोभित चरणयुगल वाली हैं, नारायण द्वारा पूजित हैं, नादब्रह्मस्वरूपा हैं, परात्पर से भी परतर हैं, तथा नाना अर्थतत्त्वस्वरूपा हैं -- उस करुणासागर मीनाक्षी को मैं निरन्तर प्रणाम करता हूँ।

I constantly bow to Meenakshi, the ocean of compassion -- who dwells richly in the hearts of many yogis and great sages, who grants success in manifold aims, whose two feet are resplendent with many kinds of flowers, who is worshipped by Narayana, who is of the nature of the primal sound Nada Brahman, who stands higher than the very highest, and whose essence is the underlying truth of manifold realities.
