अभय मुद्रा (हाथ उठाकर 'मत डरो' का संकेत) भारतीय मूर्तिकला में सबसे आम मुद्रा है। जब बच्चा पहली बार स्कूल जाए और रोए, जब बेटी शादी के बाद ससुराल जाए, या जब कोई पहली बार flight में बैठे, अभयप्रद हनुमान का स्मरण 'मत डरो, मैं हूँ' का आश्वासन देता है। CRPF या BSF जवानों की deployment से पहले यह नाम जपें।
