समस्त सन्तापों (भीतरी जलन, तड़प) को पूर्णतया दूर करने वाले, परिहार (सम्पूर्ण निवारण) करने वाले

परिहार (complete removal) में 'परि' (completely around) prefix है, यानी चारों ओर से सन्ताप हटाना। Detox programs जो शरीर से toxins completely remove करें, या deep-cleansing facial जो skin से impurities fully extract करे, सब parihara हैं। सर्वसन्तापपरिहारक हनुमान आत्मा से सन्ताप completely remove करते हैं। Vipassana retreat के 10वें दिन जो deep catharsis होता है, वही santapa-parihara है।
