सम्पूर्ण देवताओं से पहले (अग्र) पूज्य, सबसे पहले पूजा के योग्य

हिन्दू परम्परा में गणेश को अग्र-पूज्य (first-worshipped) माना जाता है — 'श्री गणेशाय नमः' से पूजा शुरू होती है। पर सर्वदेवाग्रपूज्य विष्णु भी हैं — वैष्णव परम्परा में विष्णु सबसे पहले पूजनीय। यह सम्प्रदाय-भेद नहीं, दृष्टिकोण-भेद है। जब भागवत कथा 'ॐ नमो भगवते वासुदेवाय' से शुरू हो — विष्णु अग्र-पूज्य हैं।
