परम रक्षक, जो सबको आश्रय और सुरक्षा देते हैं

गोप्ता शब्द 'गुप्त' (hidden, protected) से सम्बन्धित है। भगवान अपने भक्तों की रक्षा ऐसे करते हैं कि कभी-कभी भक्त को पता भी नहीं चलता। जब कोई हादसे से बाल-बाल बचे, जब बीमारी अचानक ठीक हो जाए, जब ख़तरा टल जाए बिना किसी को पता चले, वो गोप्ता का 'गुप्त' (छिपा हुआ) संरक्षण है। भगवान PR नहीं करते, चुपचाप बचाते हैं।
