यज्ञभृत्

सम्पूर्ण यज्ञों के पालक, जो हर अनुष्ठान की पूर्णता सुनिश्चित करते हैं

यज्ञभृत् भगवान यज्ञ को 'बनाए' (sustain) रखते हैं। प्राचीन भारत में कुछ यज्ञ 12 दिन (द्वादशाह) या 1 वर्ष (सत्र) तक चलते थे। इतने लम्बे यज्ञ को 'sustain' करना (अग्नि जलाए रखना, मन्त्र जारी रखना, आहुतियाँ देते रहना) भारी काम था। यज्ञभृत् उस पूरी प्रक्रिया के पालक हैं। जब कोई Satyanarayan Puja करता है और बिजली चली जाती है लेकिन दीया जलता रहता है, वो यज्ञभृत् हैं।
