Anushasana Parva · Adhyaya 151
The Brahmin's Course to the Moon and on to Liberation
Parashara follows the Brahmin householder from his initiation and studies through a life of sacrifice and truthfulness to the world of the Moon, where he is honoured among the Pitri-gods, sages and Sadhyas and visits the assembly of Brahma. When his time there ends he is sent back, and reflecting on the pains of birth and the impermanence of every heaven, he resolves to renounce. He becomes a wandering mendicant, free of every attachment, and on leaving his body enters the eternal, unmanifest Brahman.

devoid of qualities though possessed of Nature, changeless in every way, the supreme Lord of Time — of past, present and future — the Unmanifest, the Person, the Field: into that he enters for all eternity.
Note on the text: Not in the critical edition's constituted text (found in the vulgate recension); the CE has it only as Appendix I No. 10, lines 13,098.022d@010_0427-0429 (printed after 13.98.22d). Wikisource printed 13-151-35a-b (ending in a single danda) and 13-151-36a (ending ॥) as two rows; by the page's own verse-end marks and the sense (one sentence, "निर्गुणं … अव्यक्तं पुरुषं क्षेत्रमानन्त्याय प्रपद्यते") they are one three-line verse, as in the CE (lines @010_0427-0429); merged. Removed the stray closing quote mark and doubled danda (।।') after प्रपद्यते.
