Yudhishthira's Question to Markandeya

Janamejaya asks what the Pandavas did after Draupadi's abduction. Sitting among the sages, Yudhishthira asks Markandeya how such a wrong could befall the blameless Draupadi, born from the sacrificial altar. He recounts Jayadratha's outrage and punishment and the hardships of exile, and asks whether the sage has ever seen or heard of a man more unfortunate than himself.
