Damayanti Sends Her Children to Vidarbha

Seeing Nala lost to the game, Damayanti sends her nurse Brihatsena to summon the ministers in his name, but Nala will not receive them. Sensing ruin, she calls the charioteer Varshneya and asks him to take her two children, Indrasena and Indrasena, with Nala's horses and chariot to her father's city, Kundina. Varshneya does so, takes leave of King Bhima, and wanders to Ayodhya, where he enters the service of King Rituparna as his charioteer.
