The Golden Reign of Yudhishthira

Vaishampayana describes the reign of Yudhishthira after he consoled Dhritarashtra: ruling with his brothers like Manu and Rama, he held back the Kali age, and the land became as in the Krita age. Rain fell in season, there was neither hunger nor sickness, every class kept its duty, and men, women, animals and plants all flourished. The Pandavas, handsome and self-controlled, governed by the ancient rules of Manu, with Arjuna at the king's side.
