Krishna Tells Vasudeva of the War
Vasudeva asks his son Krishna, who saw the war himself, to tell him how it was fought. Krishna gives a brief account: the commands of Bhishma, Drona, Karna and Shalya and the death of each, the death of Shakuni, Duryodhana's end at Bhima's hands, the night slaughter by Drona's son, the few survivors, and the eighteen days of the war. The Vrishnis are overcome with grief as they listen.
