Bhishma Parva · Adhyaya 110
Arjuna and Duhshasana Clash
On the tenth day Arjuna tells Shikhandi to advance on Bhishma without fear, and the whole Pandava host follows them against the grandsire. Sanjaya lists how each Kaurava champion holds back a Pandava hero: Chitrasena against Chekitana, Kritavarman against Dhrishtadyumna, Bhurishravas against Bhima, Drona against Yudhishthira and others, while Dhrishtadyumna rallies his troops. Duhshasana bars Arjuna's way to Bhishma and fights him fiercely; badly wounded, he takes refuge at Bhishma's chariot, then returns to the fight.

Verse 1 (6.110.1)
अर्जुनस्तु रणे राजन्दृष्ट्वा भीष्मस्य विक्रमम् । शिखण्डिनमथोवाच समभ्येहि पितामहम् ॥
arjunastu raṇe rājandṛṣṭvā bhīṣmasya vikramam | śikhaṇḍinamathovāca samabhyehi pitāmaham
But Arjuna, O king, seeing Bhishma's prowess in the battle, said to Shikhandi: 'Advance on the grandsire.'
Note on the text: Adhyaya note: checked against the raw Wikisource page (a table, one row per verse, 6-110-1 to 6-110-48, with the heading सञ्जय उवाच before verse 1 and again, misspelt सञ्जय उवच, before verse 3, ending with its colophon naming this the 110th adhyaya, on the tenth day of battle). Page and input agree on all 48 verses; this adhyaya is the critical edition's 6.106.1–45 (Wikisource divides the critical edition's three-line verses 6.106.6, 14, 17, 31, 40 and 43 into couplets, which shifts its division by half a verse in verses 18–34 and 42–46), with two vulgate lines that the critical edition prints only as star passages (verse 14 line 2, verse 34 line 1). The star passages 6.106.9d*0440 and 6.106.25d*0442 are not on the page. Arjuna's words to Shikhandi (verse 2) and Dhrishtadyumna's call to his troops (verse 22), which fill whole verses without a printed heading, are given to their speakers. Corrected समभ्योहि → समभ्येहि (misprint in Wikisource; ो for े, the imperative 'come, advance' is needed, critical edition samabhyehi).
