Duryodhana Laments Jayadratha's Death to Drona
With Jayadratha slain, a dejected Duryodhana goes to Drona and tells him of the Kuru losses. He grieves for the friends who died fighting for him, swears to avenge them on the Pandavas and Panchalas or to follow them in death, and ends with the bitter charge that Drona, as Arjuna's teacher, treats the Pandavas leniently.

O king, when the lord of the Sindhus had been slain, your son Suyodhana was downcast; his face was wet with tears, and he had lost all spirit for conquering his enemies.
Note on the text: Removed the stray opening square bracket (Wikisource brackets the star passage 7.125.1d*1087, from here to the end of verse 4). Line 1 = CE 7.125.1a, line 2 = CE 7.125.1c (अश्रुपूर्णमुखो for aśruklinnamukho, a variant); the automatic alignment left CE 7.125.1 unmatched.

Note on the text: Removed the stray closing square bracket and the stray ' ।' after it (the brackets opened in verse 1 end here). Note on the text: Split from the four-line row that the page prints with the numbers 29a, 29b, 30, 30b (two verses merged in the input); lines 1–2 are verse 29. They are a couplet that the critical edition has once, as 7.125.32, and that this page repeats as verse 36 below (the vulgate repeats it); the automatic alignment found no match here.

na hīdānīṃ sahāyā me parīpsantyanupaskṛtāḥ | śreyo hi pāṇḍūnmanyante na tathāsmānmahābhuja
For now my helpers, unrewarded as they are, no longer seek to protect me; they think the Pandavas the better side and not us, O mighty-armed one.
Note on the text: Split from the four-line row that the page prints with the numbers 29a, 29b, 30, 30b (two verses merged in the input); lines 3–4 are verse 30 = CE 7.125.26, which the automatic alignment left unmatched.

svayaṃ hi mṛtyurvihitaḥ satyasandhena saṃyuge | bhavānupekṣāṃ kurute śiṣyatvādarjunasya hi

Such was the work done for me by my dearest friends, for me, greedy through delusion, sinful, crooked and covetous of wealth.
Note on the text: The automatic alignment left CE 7.125.30 unmatched; this verse is CE 7.125.30 (line 1 सुहृत्तमैः for suhṛdbruvaiḥ and line 2 मोहाल्लुब्धस्य पापस्य जिह्मस्य धनमीहतः for mohāl lubdhasya pāpasya jihmācārais tatas tataḥ are recension variants, kept).
Verse 35 (7.151.35)

The two who joined me in the business of war through my crooked ways, Jayadratha, and the mighty son of Somadatta, are slain; and so are the Abhishahas, Shurasenas, Shibis and Vasatis.
Note on the text: Corrected विर्यवान् → वीर्यवान् (misprint in Wikisource; short इ for long ई; the critical edition reads vīryavān). Lines 2–3 = CE 7.125.31; line 1 (यौ मे युद्धस्य कृत्यस्य जिह्माचारैः समीयतुः) is not in the critical edition (found in the vulgate recension). The automatic alignment left CE 7.125.31 unmatched.

na hi me jīvitenārthastānṛte puruṣarṣabhān | ācāryaḥ pāṇḍuputrāṇāmanujānātu no bhavān
I have no use for life without those bulls among men. Let you, teacher of the sons of Pandu, give us leave to go.
