Arjuna and Bhima Press Drona; the Kaurava Army Scatters in the Dark

Yudhishthira and Bhima surround Drona's son, and Duryodhana comes up with Drona against the Pandavas. Bhima, Yudhishthira and Arjuna cut down the troops of many peoples, strewing the field with elephants, severed trunks and royal umbrellas. Drona routs the Panchalas with the Vayavya weapon, but Arjuna and Bhima turn back and attack him from both flanks, followed by the Pandava allies. Struck by Arjuna and overcome by darkness and sleep, the Kaurava army breaks and flees, kings abandoning their vehicles.
