Bhima Slays Jarasandha
Urged on by Krishna, Bhima calls on his father the Wind, whirls Jarasandha a hundred times and breaks him; when the king joins himself together again, Krishna splits a reed and throws the halves crosswise, and Bhima tears him apart in the same way. Krishna frees the imprisoned kings, who honour him and pledge help for Yudhishthira's Rajasuya, and after the funeral rites he consecrates Jarasandha's son Sahadeva as king of Magadha. Returning to Indraprastha in Jarasandha's divine chariot, Krishna receives Yudhishthira's thanks and goes home to Dvaraka.
