Sahadeva's Challenge and Shishupala's Revolt
When Bhishma falls silent, Sahadeva dares any king who objects to the honouring of Krishna to answer him, and sets his foot on the heads of the mighty. No one replies; flowers rain on Sahadeva, and Narada declares that those who will not honour Krishna are dead though living. Sahadeva completes the rite, but Shishupala, called here by his name Sunitha, rouses the angry kings to wreck the sacrifice, and Krishna sees the vast host making ready for war.
