Rajadharma Sends Gautama to Virupaksha

The crane king Rajadharma honours Gautama as a guest, giving him a seat, a fire, fish and a bed, and fans away his weariness. When Gautama says he is poor and bound for the sea, Rajadharma promises to make him rich as a friend and sends him to his powerful friend Virupaksha, lord of the Rakshasas, three yojanas away. Gautama eats fruit along the way and reaches the stone city, where Virupaksha's servants hurry him to the king's palace.
