Krishna Urges the Kurus to Bind Duryodhana
Krishna answers Duryodhana's claim of innocence by recounting his wrongs against the Pandavas: the rigged dice game, the insult to Draupadi, the fire at Varanavata and the attempts with poison and snakes. When Duhshasana warns Duryodhana that the elders may bind him and hand him over to the Pandavas, Duryodhana storms out of the assembly with his brothers and allies, and Bhishma declares the whole warrior order ripe for death. Krishna then tells the elders that, as the Yadavas gave up Kamsa and as Dharma bound the Daityas for Varuna, they should bind Duryodhana, Karna, Shakuni and Duhshasana and hand them to the Pandavas for the sake of the family.

evaṃvṛttaḥ kathaṃ rājye sthātumarhasi pāpakṛt | sa rājyācca sukhāccaiva hāsyase kulapāṃsana
