Duryodhana's Plot to Seize Krishna
Ignoring his mother's counsel, Duryodhana leaves the hall again; spurred by Duhshasana's fear that the elders will hand them over to the Pandavas, he plots with Karna, Shakuni and Duhshasana to seize Krishna. Satyaki reads their intent, posts Kritavarma with troops at the door and tells Krishna, Dhritarashtra and Vidura. Vidura warns that Krishna cannot be taken, and Krishna says he could seize them all himself but will not do a condemned deed in the king's presence. Dhritarashtra has Duryodhana brought back and rebukes him, and Vidura recounts Krishna's past feats, from the slaying of Putana to that of Madhu and Kaitabha, as proof that no one can capture him.

Duhshasana said to Duryodhana, son of Dhritarashtra, and to Karna: If you do not make peace with the Pandavas of your own accord, O King, they will bind you and hand you over to the son of Pandu, O Bharata.
