Guru-Shishya Parampara -- How Knowledge Passes from Teacher to Student
oṃ saha nāvavatu | saha nau bhunaktu | saha vīryaṃ karavāvahai | tejasvi nāvadhītamastu | mā vidviṣāvahai || oṃ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ ||
— Katha Upanishad, Shanti Patha
mātṛdevo bhava | pitṛdevo bhava | ācāryadevo bhava | atithidevo bhava |
— Taittiriya Upanishad 1.11

Guru Purnima -- The Full Moon of the Teacher
On the full moon of Ashadha, Hindus honour the guru -- and through every teacher, the sage Vyasa, who arranged the Vedas and composed the Mahabharata. Why the day is also called Vyasa Purnima, what the word guru means, and how the day is kept.

Diksha -- Why Initiation Matters and What It Actually Means
The Kularnava Tantra is unambiguous: there is no liberation without Diksha, no Diksha without a Guru, and no Guru without a Parampara. In an age where mantras are available on YouTube and spiritual apps offer 'instant enlightenment,' understanding why initiation is non-negotiable separates the seeker from the tourist.

Dakshinamurti -- The Silent Teacher Who Taught the Universe Through Silence
Under a banyan tree sits a young guru, surrounded by old disciples. He says nothing. They understand everything. This is Dakshinamurti -- Shiva as the original teacher -- and his image is the most profound statement on education in any civilisation: the highest knowledge cannot be spoken. It can only be transmitted through presence.

Upanayana -- The Sacred Thread That Makes You 'Twice-Born'
A boy sits before a sacred fire. A guru whispers the Gayatri Mantra into his ear for the first time. A three-stranded cotton thread is draped over his left shoulder and under his right arm. From this moment, he is Dvija -- 'twice-born.' His first birth was biological; this one is spiritual. The Upanayana is not a quaint coming-of-age ceremony. It is the formal initiation into the world of Vedic knowledge, the beginning of the Brahmacharya Ashrama, and one of the sixteen Samskaras that the tradition considers essential for a complete human life.
