जिनके चरण-कमलों की धूलि वेदों (श्रुतियों) की माँग का सिन्दूर बनती है

यह अत्यन्त काव्यात्मक नाम है: वेद इतने विनम्र हैं कि देवी के चरणों की धूलि को अपनी माँग का सिन्दूर बनाते हैं। अर्थात् वेद भी देवी के चरणों के सामने झुकते हैं। सिन्दूर सुहागन का प्रतीक है और वेदों को 'सुहागन' बनाने वाली देवी के चरण-रज हैं। जब माँ के पैर छूएँ, वही देवी के पैर हैं।
